UEFA Overturns Armenian Player's Ban Following Euro 2026 Match Against Ukraine
Denis Nivedrov's Suspension Overturned
According to Главком: UEFA has revised its disciplinary decision concerning Armenian futsal player Denis Nivedrov following a Euro 2026 match against Ukraine. Initially handed a one-match suspension, Nivedrov's ban was appealed by the Armenian side. UEFA's appeals committee granted the appeal, converting the suspension to a one-match conditional ban and a one-year probationary period. The appeal lodged by the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) was rejected. Futsal, the fast-paced indoor version of football, is governed by UEFA with similar disciplinary procedures.
According to Article 37 of UEFA's Disciplinary Regulations, the UAF did not have the right to challenge this decision, as it was not directly affected by it.
