UNESCO has adopted a new decision regarding assistance to Ukraine: support details
According to hvylya.net: The Executive Board of UNESCO during its 222nd session adopted an important decision regarding the program of assistance to Ukraine. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Council reaffirmed its support for the people of Ukraine in overcoming the consequences of Russian aggression.
'After the adoption of the decision, delegations from Albania, Austria, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Germany, Portugal, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey, France, the Czech Republic, and Japan spoke in support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and condemned Russia's violations of international law.'
In a statement by the delegation of Australia on behalf of 44 countries, strong condemnation of Russian aggression against Ukraine was expressed, and the role of UNESCO in providing assistance to Ukraine was highlighted. The European Union also expressed support for Ukraine.
