Olexiy Kuleba, the Vice Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine and the Minister of Community Development and Territories, held a meeting in Kharkiv with the heads of frontline united territorial communities, local government representatives, and relevant ministries. The main topic of discussion was the implementation of the Program for Supporting Frontline Territories in Ukraine.

According to information, the program currently covers 240 communities in 10 regions of the country and includes more than 30 areas of assistance, ranging from security and protecting critical infrastructure to supporting entrepreneurship and providing social services.

During the meeting, we received important feedback from the heads of communities and regional military administrations regarding the implementation of the program. We focused on improving living conditions for veterans, expanding shelters in educational and healthcare institutions, as well as improving remote assessments of damaged housing and compensation payments under the eRecovery program.

It was noted that communities received an additional grant of UAH 1.7 billion for protecting critical infrastructure and equipping shelters. Another UAH 4.7 billion was allocated for the construction of protective structures in schools. Over UAH 760 million has also been sent to frontline regions for repairing important roads, supporting communal enterprises, and connecting cogeneration.

In addition, for war veterans, a program entitled 'eOselya' was introduced, which provides for compensation of part of the costs for fuel purchases and financial assistance. The program also includes support for business and the healthcare sector, specifically financial assistance for medical institutions and increasing salaries for medical staff.

The meeting in Kharkiv with the heads of frontline communities and the discussion of the Program for Supporting Frontline Territories demonstrated the growing interest of the state in the voluntary amalgamation of territorial communities, which contributes to the restoration and support of infrastructure and a favorable environment for residents of border regions.
