Men of conscription age do not need a military ID to register a car: lawyer's explanation
Car registration during martial law
During martial law in Ukraine, drivers often face rumors and confusion regarding car registration. Information is circulating on social media that men of conscription age need to contact recruitment centers for any operations with vehicles.
Lawyer Karina explained: 'No regulatory legal act requires the provision of a military ID during the registration or de-registration of a vehicle.'
Thus, service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs cannot refuse to provide services due to the absence of a military ID. In Kyiv, there have already been cases of successful re-registration of cars without these documents. The confusion in the instructions for recruitment centers leads to the emergence of rumors, but the centers have no relation to the vehicle registration process.

Alternative for registration
Those who cannot or do not want to visit the service center in person can use an alternative - granting a notarized power of attorney to a relative or acquaintance. This allows another person to carry out all necessary actions without the risk of refusal.
Conclusion
Experts advise drivers not to believe confusing information and to timely arrange documents. Car re-registration is carried out in the usual manner - it is enough to have a passport, identification code, and vehicle documents.
